The 8,200-acre Green River Lake offers boating, swimming and fishing. The lake
is renowned for its bass, bluegill, crappie and muskie fishing; national muskie
and statewide bass tournaments are held here. Twenty-eight miles of multiple use
trails for hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking are available. The
campground at Green River Lake State Park includes showers, restrooms and
laundry facilities. You can rent houseboats, fishing boats,
ski boats and
pontoons, and virtually anything else needed for a day on the water.
Several other Kentucky state resort
parks - Lake Cumberland, Barren River and Dale Hollow - are within a short
driving distance. Mammoth Cave, Kentucky's only National Park, is less than 60
miles away.
