The oldest courthouse west of the Allegheny
Mountains still stands as a museum on the square in Greensburg.
There are at least 30 sites in Taylor County on the National
Historic Register.
Campbellsville is located in south central Kentucky, an equal distance
(approximately 85 miles) from Lexington, Louisville and Bowling Green; only 150
miles from Nashville, Tennessee; and less than a day's drive to major
metropolitan areas such as Atlanta, Chicago, Cincinnati and St. Louis.
History buffs will find many sites to spark their interest, including Civil War
battlefields and buildings dating back to the early 1800s.
Agriculture is an important part of the community with tobacco, corn, soybeans,
cattle and hogs the principal products. Workers in the area build air
compressors, air filters, church steeples, wood products, travel trailers and
other types of
